Elwood Cardigan

by Jenny Wiebe

1/20, 2/24, 3/23 & 4/20   10:00-12:30 or

12:30-3:00 Afternoon class is full. You can sign up for the wait list. There are 3 spots left in the morning class.

This is the cardigan that I chose for my grandkids Christmas sweater. The ribbed collar looks so cute on the kids and they are at the age when they love to do up buttons. Of course the neckline is so wide it can just be slipped over their heads too. The cardigan can be made with wide stripes, solid or the smaller stripes. I love how the smaller stripes worked for the kids sweater but my next one will be solid. The pattern comes in sizes 6 months - AXL. Some knowledge of German Short Rows is helpful.

Class fee - $80.00 Materials not included.

Homework - Check Gauge for an accurate fit. This is very important for this sweater

Skill Requirements - Advanced beginner knitter

Yarn - Any worsted weight yarn. I used Plymouth Select Worsted

Learn to Knit Magic Loop Socks

by Very Pink Knits

2/10, 3/9 & 4/13   12:30-3:00

I find customers either love or hate making socks. I was one of the haters in the beginning because I just didn't like using Double Pointed Needles in such a small needle size. These socks made me rethink making socks. They are knit in a worsted weight yarn so no small needles and the Magic Loop method has totally made me move out of that “haters of sock” category. This class is for Advanced Beginners. Experience working in the round is a bonus

Needle - size 5

Skill Requirements - Advanced Beginner Knitter.

Class fee - $60.00 Materials not included.

Yarn - This pattern calls for worsted weight wool or wool blend. You can use an accent color for ribbing, toe and heel if you like.

Clary Baby Blanket

by Deborah O'Leary

2/3, 3/2 & 4/6   12:30-3:00

This is a fun sampler blanket that is very adaptable to whichever weight yarn you like to use and what size you would like to make the blanket. Pattern includes directions for DK, Worsted and Chunky weight yarns. The pattern include 4 different stitches to learn. You can make the blanket in multiple colors or in one color for a monochrome look. The wide garter stitch border on the top, bottom and sides gives it a good base for a blanket with no rolling edges.

Class fee - $60.00 Materials not included.
Skill Requirements
- Advanced Beginner knitter.

Yarn - directions for DK. Worsted or Chunky Yarn. Yardage will depend on size of blanket and whether you choose one color or multiple colors.

Needle – 6, 7 or 10 depending on yarn choice

Zuzu Petals

by Carina Spencer

2/17 & 3/16   12:30-3:00

I have made this cowl a few times and it is one of my daughter's favorite go to cowl. The updated version gives direction for fingering to super bulky weight yarn. My sample is blocking at the moment and was made with Madeline Tosh Dk. This picture shows the cowl in bulky weight yarn. It is a quick knit and a good starting project if you haven't tried lace work but would like to.

Class fee - $45.00 Materials not included.

Skill Requirements - Must know how to chain and complete a single and double crochet competently.

Yarn - fingering to super bulky weight yarn

Introducing Thursday Night Crochet Class

6:00 - 8:00 PM $20 per class

Each Thursday night we will meet and will introduce two patterns from the book. If you are simply interested in learning new patterns you can pick which classes you would like to attend to make a scarf or shawl or come to them all to make this beautiful Afghan. It is a great way to increase your crochet stitch portfolio. Some basic patterns in the book will not be covered in the class but I can review them with you if needed. If you miss a class of a stitch that you would like to learn you can come to a help table on Saturday Morning 10-12 and I can go over the pattern for you.

63 Easy to Crochet Sampler Blanket

by Leisure Arts Darla Sims

I have owned this pattern since the late 1990's but have never made the whole blanket. It has been a great reference for when I am looking for a new and interesting stitch but I decided it is time to make a version of this blanket. The older version of this blanket called for worsted weight yarn but the updated version gives some suggestions for DK - Super Bulky weights. I will be making mine in bulky weight Berocco Ultra Chunky yarn and not using all 63 pattern choices.

Yarn – Dk, Worsted or Chunky

Hook – size to obtain gauge

Skill Requirements - Advanced Beginner crocheter.

Class fee - $20.00 per class as attended. Materials not included.

Yarn - You can use any DK - Super Bulky weight yarn that you like and needle size that gets the gauge the yarn calls for
